Because You Care is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that receives no public funding. BYC is also operated by volunteers. Your gift goes to providing veterinary care and supplies for the animals in foster care and at the adoption center. Because You Care's Franklin Fund supports severly injured or ill animals who have been abandoned and who are in need of in-depth medical care in order to survive. These loving animals are kind beings who have had misfortune visit their doorstep. Because of the depth of their needs, most shelters would automatically euthanize these animals. The Because You Care Franklin Fund offers them hope by providing the funding that allows them to receive the veterinary care that they need.
Because You Care has a Trap-Neuter(Spay)-Release Program that allows feral cats to continue living outside but after being spayed or neutered and vaccinated for rabies. This program is for feral and semi-feral outdoor cats only.
