BYC + Purrista Cat Cafe

Because You Care is very excited about this opportunity to house some of our adoptable cats in the spacious “Cat Lounge” at the café, as it will allow us to rescue more cats in the region.
The café will be open to the public all week. North Edge Craft Coffee will be roasting to provide Purrista with a variety of coffee drinks. Baked goods will be available for purchase as well. And, for a small fee (to help cover the cats’ care) guests will be able to enjoy their beverages and treats while visiting with the cats in the lounge. You can reserve you spot in the cat cafe by visiting Purrista's website.
There will be no changes in how cats at the café are adopted. All current BYC adoption applications, standards, and procedures will apply to the cats in residence at the café. All adoption applications will continue to be screened by the Cat Center manager, and all adoption fees will be payable directly to BYC.
WHAT IS A CAT CAFE???
A Cat Cafe is a concept that is not only a unique experience but creates a PAWsitive exposure to animals, animal therapy, pet adoption, with that sweet cafe vibe. Cafes are a place, like bars, to socialize - but the environment is more intimate, not so overwhelming, and brings a relaxing vibe to its patrons.
The pet cafe concept originated in Asia and now has become a staple in America. Purrista will team up with Because You Care to bring loving, adoptable cats into the cafe for people to either just visit with, make them part of their family, or just spend some quality time in a clean, stress-free environment. The benefits to both people and cats are endless.
