Walk for Animal Rescue

Please plan to join us on Sunday, Sept. Sept. 10, from noon to 3 p.m., in Liberty Park on Erie’s bayfront for this year's Walk for Animal Rescue.

Two-legged and four-legged walkers alike are invited to enjoy an afternoon of exercise, fun, prizes, and more, all for a good cause. While dogs are welcome, it is not required to have a dog to walk! In addition to the walk, the event will feature door prizes, basket raffles, vendors, food, and family-friendly entertainment.

Participants are asked to raise funds for Because You Care, and for every $50 raised/donated, walkers will receive a chance to win a valuable prize.

All walkers who raise/donate $25 or more will receive an official Walk T-shirt. Special prizes will also be awarded to the walkers who raise the most money.

The Walk is Because You Care's largest fundraiser, providing funds needed for the rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned and abused dogs and cats, including veterinary care, food, and supplies. For more information, visit www.becauseyoucare.org/walk, or follow us on Facebook for more details as plans are made.

PLEASE HELP US MAKE THE WALK A SUCCESS: We need your help to make our Walk a fun, profitable fundraiser. If you would like to help us plan this year’s Walk, or are interested in sponsoring the event, being a vendor at the event, donating a prize or helping in any other way, please call 476-1212 or send email to walk@becauseyoucare.org
